History of the Lancia cars and company, told through the papers of one of their leading engineers, Francesco De Virgilio. Includes detailed information on the family, the company, the cars, and the engineering thinking and developments. The story is told from within the company, using original factory materials. In addition, the personal history of De Virgilio, who married into the family, is revealed, including his work with Gianni Lancia and Vittorio Jano, in the making of the Lancia Aurelia, one of the world's great cars.

The book was initially printed in 2014, and has long been out of print and become a collector's item. Reprinted in 2021, it is now available from the author directly (CONUS only), or from Gilena in Europe.
